A hotel review
The Bournemouth Hilton is a nice modern and family-friendly hotel, with modern décor with a 1930s understated theme. Just 5 minutes’ walk from the city center or beach. The Hilton hotel has an open plan restaurant, bar and rooftop nightclub, which attracts a mix of clients from local premier league footballers, business people and weekenders. When celebrity events are on don’t be surprised by the expensive range of sports cars parked outside the hotel including Porsches, Ferraris and Bentleys and the well-spoken security staff on patrol throughout this hi-tech hotel.
This hotel is just 5 minutes from the local rail station with direct trains serving major cities including Southampton, London, Reading, Oxford and Birmingham. As for nearest airports, Bournemouth and Southampton have their own airports, with Southampton having its own railway station with direct train services to Bournemouth and other south coast towns.
Apart from the seven miles of sandy beach and two piers just minutes away from the hotel, there are lovely landscaped tropical gardens in the town centre. As for night owls there is a nightclub and multiscreen cinema across the road, together with concerts and exhibitions at the Bournemouth International Conference centre.
Although for the more adventurous in mind there is nude swimming at Studland Bay near Swanage and the fossils to be found at the Jurassic Coast heritage site to the west of Bournemouth. To the east is the ancient landscape of the New Forest, a mix of heaths, scrubland and ancient forests populated with wild horses and tourists.
