A large business can have more control over electricity generation costs by using on-site power over grid-supplied power

On-site energy generation can save money, reduce emissions, give business greater control over their electricity costs and enhance their green credentials.

What’s more, according to a new report from independent analyst firm Verdantix[1], it could even help UK businesses save around £33bn and significantly cut their carbon emissions in the process.

For a large business, on-site power is often preferred over grid-supplied power because it gives more control over electricity generation costs, acting as a known hedge against unpredictable wholesale power prices or sharp increases in network costs at times of peak demand.
